This tool analyzes the approximate Lexile levels for 3rd, 4th, 5th, grade passages from the 2016 released reading STAAR and estimates the corresponding approximate grade level for each passage.  Understanding the frequency of above-level passages and average approximate grade levels per STAAR can help educators to plan for more rigorous and accurate STAAR preparation in the future.  Included here, we provide a Lexile conversion chart, that can be used to determine each passages approximate grade level range.
